About Wood Art @ 105
We are Kate and Simon living and creating Wood Art on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire. Specialising in creating art forms from wood collected from the local environment or from trees that have been removed for safety reasons. All of the wood is air dried before turning or carving, often resulting in interesting stress cracking that is highlighted using colour and resin. Our work is focused on crotch pieces or wood that will provide individual colouring, patterning, and shape, finding the distinctive beauty in the wood is always an inspirational journey. Often the wood will determine the finished shape, we love to taking an organic creation process, certainly all pieces will be unique.

We offer a bespoke service, collecting wood from you and creating unique Wood Art from it. If a beloved family tree has been removed and you would like a memorial piece made from it you are in good hands. Let us craft a bowl, goblet, box, board, from your wood and have it embellished with your own design. Let your imagination inspire a stunning piece.

Each item we make will have a story card that shows the journey undertaken, describing the processes and showing the evolution, from raw wood to finished piece The piece will be boxed and packaged to show off the beauty that was revealed during the creative process.

Enjoy looking at examples of recent pieces on our site. If you find a piece that inspires you, please contact us so we can turn your wishes into reality.
